Sanoma sells regional airtime in eleven different viewing regions on channel Nelonen. The buying methods are floating target group buying and programme-specific buying. The maximum duration of a regional advertisement is 20 seconds. The combined maximum duration of break connection spots is also 20 seconds.

The same principles apply to regional target group buying as to national target group buying. Target group buying can be regionally purchased only among 25–64-year-olds.

Regional programme-specific buying
The rate of regional programme-specific buying is calculated by multiplying the national gross rate of the programme by the pricing factor of the viewing region. The number of regional contacts is the number of national contacts multiplied by the share of population in each region. If only programme-specific buying is being used, a guarantee is granted in the 10+ target audience. By paying a six (6) percent
