Multichannel marketing boosts Sortter's success
Founded in 2018, Sortter has quickly grown into Finland’s leading loan comparison service. The company’s success is no coincidence but the result of determined and innovative marketing. Reetta Sinelampi, Sortter’s Chief Business Development Officer, shares that working with Sanoma has played a crucial role in building the brand and increasing awareness.
In a competitive industry, multichannel presence and appearing in reliable media are key. Communicating Sortter's message with clarity and credibility has reinforced the brand's position in the minds of both consumers and businesses.
“With domestic media, we have found diverse ways to implement our marketing and highlight the characteristics of our service. We are always ready to try something new and have embraced new channels, which has sealed our growth,” Sinelampi explains.
Reaching an engaged audience through Viaplay TV
The partnership has allowed Sortter to react quickly and test new ideas. On Viaplay TV’s new sports channel, Sortter became a pioneer and reached an engaged and interested audience.
"In our brand marketing, we support sports from junior level up without specifically attaching ourselves to one single sport. When a new opportunity emerged, we jumped right in," Sinelampi says.
Reliability is an inherent part of Sortter's service.
"Sortter's marketing communications emphasise fairness, honesty, Finnish identity, clarity and being on the side of the customer. We have chosen to be present in trusted media, which has also strengthened the reliability of our brand and helped us differentiate ourselves from our competitors through shared values."
Sanoma’s expertise and handle on different media formats, research data and consumer behaviour have been valuable to us. Our cooperation has been proactive and professional. We have quickly achieved major results.

According to Sinelampi, willingness to try new things and to challenge conventions of traditional media use is important for Sortter's growth.
"As a digital platform, we have an ambitious approach to marketing, media and related investments. We strive to make business-driven investments based on data.”
